  • Course Content

    • Once I've bought a course how long until I can access it?

      Once you have made your purchase, please allow between 3 - 24 hours for your course content to appear. Please allow extra time over weekends and outside of business hours.

    • I have a query about the content, who should I contact?

    • For how long do I have access to the course?

      On purchase of the course you will have access for 12 months.

    • How do I access the online course?

      Completion of our e-commerce checkout procedure leads to a screen that links you directly to the start of the course. This screen can also be printed to act as your invoice. This screen will also be emailed to you, automatically and instantly. If you do not receive this, you should contact Kaplan Customer Service by filling in the below form or emailing

    • How long do courses take?

      There are approximately 120 hours of learning for each course, and each course covers the CIMA learning outcomes for that subject as specified in the CIMA syllabus. Each learning outcome unit is complete with interactive activities, reading assignments and tests. In addition to this, we recommend that you do all the past exam questions in the recommended time and then compare your answers with the examiner's answers.

    • Am I assessed?

      The Certificate in Business Accounting courses include end of unit questions and answers which are assessed and your scores recorded. In addition at the end of the courses there is a complete mock exam which is timed, assessed and scored as in the real CIMA Computer Based Assessment so you can measure your readiness.

      For the CIMA Professional subjects, as you go through the courses, you can Take a Test; there are a variety of formats: multiple-choice questions, matching statements, calculations and drag-and-drop exercises. There are also review questions throughout, which follow the format of exam questions and for which comparison can be made against a suggested solution. However, currently no formal assessment is included.

    • What are the technical requirements for my computer?

      Microsoft Windows PC running Windows 7 or above. Browser used should ideally be Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 11 (excluding Edge), Mozilla Firefox (latest version) or Google Chrome (latest version).

      We recommend you only use the above devices/browsers. Users using the following may experience limited functionality; Apple Safari, Opera or iPad.

      Disable pop-up blocking software - Pop-up blocking Applications might prevent Learning Objects from loading successfully.

      Disable toolbars (i.e. Google, Yahoo...) as 3rd party Applications can interfere with your learning plan.

  • Course prices and buying online

    • How much do the courses cost?

      Individual courses start at £137.50 (excluding VAT). Please check the buy now for the full catalogue.

    • Can I try a course before I buy?

      There is a demo module available on this site. Employers or educators interested in using the courses for a group should contact us at Employer Enquiries

    • How do I buy online?

      Once our courses are available to buy, individual students can buy online from our secure site. Simply browse for available courses and add them to your basket.

    • I already have CIMAstudy, can I upgrade to CIMAstudy Prime?

      Yes, to upgrade to CIMAstudy Prime you just need to pay the difference in price between the two courses. To do this just give us a call on +44 (0)161 259 7400 or email and we'll be happy to help!

  • Books and printed material

    • I already have a CIMA text book. Should I buy the online course as well?

      There are similarities between the coverage of the CIMA textbook and the online courses as they both provide comprehensive coverage of the CIMA syllabus. The main difference is the treatment of the material: offers a different learning experience from the book, bringing the theory to life and giving you the opportunity to learn in a more interactive way as well as providing new case studies, and exercises within the modules to test your understanding and exam practice questions.

    • Who can I contact for more information on CIMA books?
    • Do the courses include a book?

      No. The courses have been designed as a one-stop study solution, and everything needed to complete the course is included.

    • Can I print out the courses?

      Any of the features of the course are interactive activities which cannot be printed. However, there are parts of the course that can be printed—these include the Review Questions and answers, the readings and the Know More content.

      In addition, in the certificate courses you can also print out your score card at the end of the assessment showing you which areas you may need to do extra work on

  • Coupons and passcodes

    • How do I validate a coupon code?

      Proceed through your checkout as normal and, at stage 4 of payment, you will be given the opportunity to enter your code, and to review your cart, before final payment.

    • How do I validate a passcode?

      From the homepage , click ‘Enter Passcode’ in the top right corner. Enter your passcode in the requisite field. From here, just enter the rest of your details as appropriate. Once you have completed your address, you will now have access to your course. Repeat the process for multiple passcodes.
